What adventure can your little dancer go on today, the moon perhaps, or maybe the zoo? Each class consists of a constructed curriculum to inspire your child’s imagination in a stimulating mix of dance, music and mime.

The syllabus is designed around the basic grass roots disciplines of ballet and dance. Charters Dance can sow the seeds for a wonderful start in pre-primary dance and theatrics, while nurturing and setting the foundation for potential growth in other fields.

Once your child is 4 or 5 years we recommend they join our Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary and Primary ballet classes.

At Charters Dance we follow the RAD’s internationally recognised portfolio; Pre-Primary and Primary ballet being their introductory syllabi for ages 4 - 6 years.

What will my child learn in these ballet classes?

Balance

Articulation of parts of the body

Awareness of space

Control

Elevation

Varying movement dynamics

Expressive performance

Recall of settings

Confidence in self

All of the above do not only make a great ballerina but are also all skills that carry through life. Whether your child becomes the next Darcey Bussell, Oprah Winfrey or Sheryl Sandberg we can guarantee she will have started her journey along the right path. What a great start.
